GARDNERVILLE, Nev. (May 10, 2016) - A hospital is more than a place where people go to heal, it is a part of the community that fosters health and represents hope. That hope stems from the individuals that carry out the work of healthcare, and Carson Valley Health is celebrating National Hospital Week May 8th-14th to recognize those individuals.
“National Hospital Week is a celebration of people,” says Shannon Albert, Interim CEO of Carson Valley Health. “We’re extremely proud of each member of our staff and we recognize the important role they play in extending a sense of trust to our patients and our community.” A full slate of activities is planned for CVH staff throughout the week, including a staff breakfast, a dessert fair provided by the managers, and other small tokens of appreciation for the employees that work around the clock. CVH’s challenge to the community at large: thank a hospital employee. Each individual, from the admitting clerk, to the nurse, to the facilities crew, is crucial in keeping CVH’s doors open for the community.
The nation’s largest health care event, National Hospital Week dates back to 1921. For more information about National Hospital Week at Carson Valley Health, call 775.782.1637.
