Carson Valley Health has Carson Valley’s only 24-Hour emergency room. Our ER is staffed by board-certified emergency medicine physicians. Patients of the CVH Emergency Room can take comfort in having the CVH hospital and ICU available should they need to be admitted for further care, as well as partnerships with East Fork Fire District, Battle Born Medivac, and Care Flight.Â
Services and treatment provided by the Emergency Room include, but are not limited to:
- Serious accidents with major injuries
- Chest pain
- Weakness of limbs (arm or leg), or face drooping
- Seizures
- Head injury
- Respiratory distress
- Abdominal pain
- Trauma
- Post-Operative infection/complications
- Pneumonia
- Diabetic complications
- Eye, ear, nose and throat services
- And any other emergency medical needs
CVH ER was the first hospital designated as a Level IV Trauma Center in Nevada in 2025. Also in 2025, the ED received these achievement awards:

In 2026, the ED was awarded The Joint Commission’s Gold Seal of Approval® and the American Heart Association’s Heart-Check mark for Advanced Acute Heart Attack Ready Certification.
