PEDIATRIC ADVANCED LIFE SUPPORT (PALS)

This course is designed to aid the pediatric healthcare provider in developing the knowledge and skills necessary to efficiently and effectively manage critically ill infants and children, resulting in improved outcomes. This course is intended for pediatricians, emergency physicians, family physicians, physician assistants, nurses, nurse practitioners, paramedics, respiratory therapists, and other healthcare providers who initiate and direct advanced life support in pediatric emergencies.
Pre-requisites include current BLS certification and a completed mandatory pre-course exam. The pretest can be accessed by going to https://elearning.heart.org and completing the Precourse Self-Assessment. You must pass the pre-test with a 70% or better to be allowed access into the class. If you are unable to print your pre-test, please take a picture of it to include your name, date of the course, score and name of course; email it to Nichole Artam at nartam@carsonvalleyhealth.org
Cost: Free for CVH employees, $250 for community members (cost includes book)
